Caring Partners International mission trip and Kettering Health CME. On this trip, KH participants will earn 4.0 CEUs (40 hours) by learning practical skills of resilience and adaptability in the clinic setting while making an impact to a global underserved population, enjoying Guatemalan culture, and visiting Guatemalan health care locations. Participants will help a primary care clinic for 4 days to provide primary care and prescription medications, vision screening and classes, and physical therapy/chiropractic care while volunteers from our hosting local church will provide spiritual care and assess ways to impact long term SDOH factors of outpatients. 1 Day will be dedicated for site visits to Guatemalan hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies to learn about medical practices in the foreign country. An additional day will be reserved to experiencing Guatemalan history, culture, and chocolate and coffee making industries in the UNESCO recognized city of Antigua, Guatemala.
