KHMC Learning Experiences

The program at Kettering Health Main Campus is proud to offer a flexible elective rotation scheduled. The RPD is dedicated to optimizing the residents' year and will work with the residents to adjust electives as interests change (preceptor schedule permitting).

  • Antimicrobial Stewardship (4 weeks)
  • Pulmonary Critical Care (4 weeks)
  • Emergency Medicine (4 weeks)
  • Research and Education (4 weeks)
Direct Patient Care electives (5 total electives)
  • Trauma/Surgical Critical Care (4 weeks)
  • Internal Medicine II (4 weeks)
  • Inpatient Oncology (4 weeks)
  • Ambulatory Care (at KH Medical Group, 4 weeks)
  • Outpatient Hematology Oncology (at KCC Pavillion, 4 weeks)
  • Antimicrobial Stewardship II (4 weeks)
  • Oral Chemotherapy Monitoring Clinic (4 weeks)
  • Cardiovascular Management, at KHDO (4 weeks)
  • Emergency Medicine II (4 weeks)
  • Neonatal Intensive Care (4 weeks)
  • Psychiatric Medicine (at KBMC, 4 weeks)
Non-direct patient care electives
  • Drug Policy Development/Drug Information (4 weeks)
  • Medication-use, Safety, and Policy (4 weeks)
  • Clinical Informatics (4 weeks)
Required Longitudinal Experiences
  • Ambulatory Care Clinic (48 weeks, 1 clinic day every 4 weeks)
  • Code Blue Attendance (52 weeks)
  • Pharmacy Staffing (every 3rd weekend, 52 weeks)
  • Research (46 weeks)
  • Operations (12 weeks)
  • Professional Pharmacy Practice (52 weeks)
  • Teaching Certificate Program (52 weeks)
